The Marriott hotel chain gets more LA-area good news (they scored a recent Santa Monica win)--the City Council has approved a tax credit deal that will direct millions in tax receipts--approximately $67 million--to the developer of South Park's under-construction Marriott. The developer implied it would pull up stakes if it didn't get the credit. DTLA's Bonaventure Hotel is furious about the deal and told the LAT on Tuesday they'd sue. [LA Times]
