Mid-Century Developer Victor Sease's Own House in Tujunga

New, 16 comments

It's pretty difficult to tell, but this house in Tujunga belongs to a mid-century tract developed by Victor Sease from plans by architect Eugene Weston (and probably Douglas Byles, who worked with Weston on the tract)--this house, in fact, was Sease's own. (Here's a much nicer Sease example nearby.) According to a tipster who lives in the neighborhood, "It has had a fair bit of re-muddling, but still has good bones. The current owners have added boards to reduce the floor-to-ceiling glass(!) facing the pool, saying it 'feels like a fishbowl'! argghh." Yeesh. The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pool (is the hose included?), and nearly half an acre of land. It was originally listed last May asking $479,000 and has gone "sale pending" a few times, but now it's back again, asking $390,000.
