The Yahoo Center office park in eastern Santa Monica is dropping Yahoo from its name under mysterious circumstances, the Santa Monica Daily Press reports. Owners Equity Office say they're simply rebranding the campus and renaming it the Colorado Center (the fourth name change in 20 years). But an unnamed member of the Santa Monica Business Alliance told the SMDP that Yahoo no longer rents enough square feet to have its name on the building--the internet company has fallen on hard times and gave up some SaMo space. Hopefully this won't affect the public park affixed to the campus, which is much beloved by neighbors. [SMDP]
