Whimsical 1930s Traditional in Silver Lake

New, 36 comments

While there are definitely a few things about this listing that trigger our snark reflex--its artsy close-up photo of a single feather on a wood plank; the owl faces carved into a tree; and the claim in the description that it is "referred to as 'The Lucky House' by former owners" because "it is said that good things happen to those who live here," for example--the place is just too darn pretty for us to hate on. Located about a block south of the Silver Lake Reservoir, the 1,307 square foot home was built in 1938 and features three bedrooms, one and three-quarter baths, concrete and hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, French doors, Carrera marble countertops, salt water pool and spa, and attached one-car garage. Last sold in 2006 for $820,000, it's now asking $819,000.
