The Los Angeles Dodgers's new owners are going around telling people they want to host an outdoor hockey game on New Year's Day. According to the LA Times, new Dodgers President Stan Kasten says the facility can handle the Winter Classic--a one-off outdoor NHL game hosted in the past by Fenway Park in Boston and Wrigley Field in Chicago. NHL management, however, is lukewarm to the idea, telling the New York Times in December that the small window of television time available on New Year's Day makes moving the game west unlikely.
