The Venice Neighborhood Council has approved the Venice Boardwalk zipline plan, and now operator Greenheart Conservation Company just needs permits from the Coastal Commission to get up and running by July. Rides will cost $20 compared to the $10 to $15 it would've cost to ride a proposed observation wheel. That plan was shot down, but visitors bureau LA Inc. says that the ride's company, "Great Observation Wheel, is now looking at other possible sites in the region that might be more welcoming." [LAT]
