UCLA has already endured ire and protests, and now the LA Times reports it's facing a lawsuit over the proposed sale of the Hannah Carter Japanese Garden in Bel Air, which officials hope to unload for $4 million (they're also selling the adjoining Carter House). Carter family heirs are suing, with just weeks to spare before UCLA's May 22 deadline for bids. A university spokesman says they have every legal right to sell it and will fight back against the suit. [LA Times]
