Designer Robert Rodriguez Completely Renovated the Beverly Hills MySpace Founder's Mansion

New, 21 comments

Whoa, this 1929 house on North Hillcrest Road in Beverly Hills is nearly unrecognizable from the last time we saw it back in 2009. MySpace cofounder Christopher DeWolfe was selling it then and the listing included a rendering of what the property could look like if restored--never a good sign. Womenswear designer Robert Rodriguez looks to have picked up the place in November 2009 for $4.9 million and undertaken a huge overhaul (all we'll say is "what is up with that fireplace?"). The former five-bedroom was designed by William J. Gage and now has three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a dining room, a library with a coffered wood ceiling, a limestone fountain, a two-story breakfast room, a pool, a bonus room off the garage, and loads of Carrara marble. Rodriguez wants double for his hard work--he's asking $9.998 million.
