The city of Santa Clarita is expected to annex enough land to propel it past Glendale as the third most populous city in LA County, reports the Santa Clarita Valley Signal. The Los Angeles County Local Agency Formation Commission, which oversees and approves annexations, is processing applications for seven areas of land that would add an estimated 25,870 people to the city, raising the population from 177,500 to 200,000.
