In 1955, the US State Department commissioned our hometown hero-architect Richard Neutra to design an embassy in Karachi, Pakistan. Neutra said the "white, rectangular slab punctuated by the pattern of rounded, half-cylinders" was "stripped for action." The building has now been decommissioned and "will not be preserved," according to Core77. Neutra's son Dion has put together a petition for its preservation and repurposing. [Core77, image via]
