It's wheels up for Bob Hope Airport's regional transportation center--officials this week signed off on $82.7 million in bonds to pay for "a parking structure and new rental car facilities that will be part of the planned $108.9-million transit center. The bonds will be repaid by revenue generated by rental car companies." Phase one of the project also includes a transit station and a moving sidewalk. Groundbreaking is set for July.
