Ever-intrepid Curbed photographer Elizabeth Daniels happened to be in Exposition Park just minutes ago when the not-yet-opened Expo Line ran into a Honda Civic right by the Expo Park/USC stop. We don't have any facts about the cause yet, but it looks like the car tried to squeeze in a turn in front of the approaching train (don't ever do this, people). As far as we know, no one was injured--the driver got out of his car and called someone ("No, I'm not kidding," he said), according to Daniels. Expo is in testing mode and set to officially open a week from Saturday. This is not its first pre-opening crash--in March, several people were injured in a collision Downtown.
