Homeless Housing in Hollywood, LEGO Eames Really Happening?

New, 20 comments

HOLLYWOOD: We've noticed before that this building downturn seems to have been pretty good for supportive and other low-income housing, which is pretty heartwarming. PATH Ventures, which recently debuted the La Kretz Villas in East Hollywood and now they (along with A Community of Friends) have opened the Villas at Gower, a "'campus of hope' for homeless families, adults and transitional aged youth" on Gower just above Hollywood Blvd. Killefer Flammang designed the four-story building, which has 70 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments. The Villas are intended to provide permanent rather than transitional housing. [Curbed Inbox]

PACIFIC PALISADES: Eeee! Is LA finally getting its long-awaited LEGO architecture set? Two LEGO resources--Brickset and Brickipedia (and who knew there were so many?)--have a listing for an Eames House LEGO set with some kind of classification number and everything. Brickipedia says that "21015 Eames House is an Architecture set to be released in 2012." [Curbed Inbox]
