Hoping to drum up some press for their upcoming Cinco de Mayo shows (guess it worked), the Mexican wrestling/burlesque troupe known as Lucha VaVOOM announced its top 10 favorite Downtown spots. Number one is an easy guess: the Mayan Theater, where the Luchas put on their LA shows ("We saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs there and it was almost as great as Lucha VaVOOM"). Other favorites include the Nickel Diner on Main Street, the Escondite bar near the Toy District, and Little Tokyo in its entirety. [Lucha VaVOOM]
