Doug Rucker Modern With David Hertz Updates on Calabasas Horse Property

New, 11 comments

It was just a month ago that we saw a very beautiful rustic modern house by the Malibu architect Doug Rucker, but we think this one that's just hit the market outdoes it (in both beauty and rusticness). The house was built in 1966 and has three bedrooms and one and three-quarter bathrooms, with kitchen and bathrooms were updated by David Hertz (whose Studio for Environmental Architecture is best known for a Malibu house made out of a whole 747). It sits on an acre of horse property in the Calabasas's Monte Nido community, with a live oak forest, a stream, and "massive streamside boulders." Asking price is $1.349 million.
