Photographer Bruce Davidson Loves Los Angeles's Trees

There was a huge, lovely photo by Bruce Davidson in the middle of this week's New Yorker showing a parking lot by the beach in Santa Monica. Now, via [view] from a loft, the magazine has a video about Davidson, the photo, and his ongoing series, "Nature of Los Angeles." Davidson, who has previously chronicled New York and Paris, is a man after our hearts--he sees the beauty in LA and its juxtaposition of soaring concrete interchanges, green trees, Hollywood Sign, desert, beach, and oil fields (he calls it "wonderfully absurd"). And, like pretty much every other photographer or filmmaker we've ever heard of, he loves the light here.
