We thought this house was looking a little too handsome for something built in 1988, and turns out there's a reason for that--it was designed by Case Study house architects Buff & Hensman for partner Conrad Buff III. As the listing says: "Conrad Buff III and his wife Libby sought a new and more accessible location than the exposed hilltop upon which they were living." The two-bedroom, two and a quarter-bathroom house is definitely recognizable as a later B&H and "is clad in gunite stucco and utilizes commercial grade materials throughout." Libby Buff owned the house until 2003, when she sold it to former Design on a Dime host Kristan Cunningham, according to a 2008 story on the Real Estalker (Her renovation was documented in Better Homes and Gardens's Do It Yourself magazine--the listing notes that "Recent interior appointments by previous owner HGTV's design personality Kristan Cunningham make this home feel fresh and current.") Cunningham and her husband sold the house in 2008 for $1.2 million. Asking price now is $1.25 million.
