BEVERLY HILLS: Yes, it's real and it's fabulous: Sprinkles has indeed opened a 24 hour cupcake ATM on South Santa Monica Blvd. Perfect for break-ups, bongs, and out of state guests. Read more here and watch video of the ATM on Eater National.
FAIRFAX: Planet Dailies, a weird off-shoot of Planet Hollywood, opens Monday at the Farmers Market. The restaurant seems tasteful from the exterior, but we're dubious, especially with Extra set to broadcast from there. Regardless, the drinks (e.g. Capri Natura Limoncello) don't sound too bad, nor does the food (ham and fig pizza).
SILVER LAKE: New neighborhood bistro Black Hogg (from the chef behind the Spotted Pig) opened Tuesday on Sunset. Eater calls the design "sparse," but the food appears promising: "Oysters and mignonette, sausages, mussels in white wine, fish and chips, steak frites, marrow bones, crostini, pates paired with New World spices and flavors from chiles to fresh herbs with a healthy dose of acid to brighten up plates."
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Eater takes us inside the under construction Pink Taco on the Sunset Strip (in the old Miyagi's building), opening April 1. Look for three, count 'em three, bars and a secret upstairs restaurant that will feature non-Mexican fare.
