DOWNTOWN: You're going to have to find two quarters to rub together or walk your butt up Bunker Hill--Angels Flight is raising fares from 25 to 50 cents (Metro pass holders will still get the quarter fare). Apparently, those measly fares have never covered operating costs and AF has always gotten by on donations. Railway President John Welborne tells the Daily News that now "a number of our donors have suggested that our riders could pay more, too." The new price goes into effect this Monday, March 12. DOWNTOWN: Tomorrow morning, the Urban Land Institute Los Angeles holds its twelfth annual Urban Marketplace real estate and development conference at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Roundtable session topics include LA River revitalization, transit-oriented development, "Downtown LA -- The Tipping Point is Reached," Bringing Back Broadway and the streetcar project, and USC-adjacent neighborhoods. Sounds pretty fun. All the info's here. [Curbed Inbox]
