Centrum Sunset, aka the David Barton gym project planned for the old Tower Records site at Sunset and Larrabee, is off the table, at least for now. The developer pulled the ever-controversial project off of tonight's city council agenda and it's not clear whether that's a temporary or permanent move. A spokesperson tells WeHo Patch that the developers just want a continuance until April, but Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Prang says "The email said [developer Sol Barket] was formally withdrawing the project and that he was disappointed he couldn’t see it through to completion." The email also "indicated" that Barket would build a Walgeens at the site instead. [WeHo Patch]
