EAST HOLLYWOOD: After 44 years of business, iconic antiques shop Yellow Aster Mercantile will be closing within the next few months. According to their Facebook page, and a quick call to the store, the staff is in the process of selling off most of the merchandise right now and anticipate that they'll shutter by July.
DOWNTOWN: Yesterday marked American Apparel's fifteenth birthday and state Assemblymember Gil Cedillo, Councilmembers José Huizar and Jan Perry, and American Apparel Chief Manufacturing Officer Marty Bailey all turned out for the occasion. The celebration included remarks and a tour of the brand's massive DTLA factory.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: The Kardashians are coming to Melrose Ave. America's famous reality TV family is moving their Dash boutique from its longtime home in sleepy Calabasas to a 2,000 square foot space at 8420 Melrose Avenue. Sister Kim thinks the store will be good for the area, saying "I think it will bring more foot traffic to Melrose."
