It seems a bit of a stretch to describe this mid-century mod in Beverly Crest as "Buff, Straub & Hensman at their finest," as its listing copy does, given the existence of, say, Case Study #20, or the Thompson Mosley House. Not that it isn't nice--it even won an AIA award in 1959--and we can certainly envision it getting much nicer with a few updates (and no carpet in the bathroom), but c'mon. Located on a 1.04 acre lot on Benedict Canyon, the 1957 Asian-influenced post and beam features four bedrooms, three baths, walls of glass, a fireplace in the living room, lots of built-ins, and a heated pool with hot tub. A trust sale, it's listed at $2.35 million.
