Yesterday, LAX celebrated the opening of the new Alaska Airlines terminal--a $238 million project that introduced fresh boarding lounges and concession stands, as well as a new baggage inspection system that will keep passengers from having to wait for security to screen their luggage, Brentwood Patch reports. The Terminal Six project, delivered on-time and $33 million under budget, is part of the giant $4.1 LAX Modernization plan. [Brentwood Patch]
