Bathroom infrared security sensors are always a huge draw, which is probably why Gerald and Betty Ford's long-time house in Rancho Mirage sold so quickly--just two months after being listed. The Fords built the Welton Becket-designed house in 1979, shortly after leaving the White House. It sits on 1.37 acres on the golf course at Thunderbird Estates. It was listed in late January asking $1.699 million and has sold for $1.675 million.
