The Palm Springs Art Museum is planning on restoring a 1960, glass-walled building by E. Stewart Williams (originally the Santa Fe Federal Savings and Loan) and turning it into an architecture and design annex. Marmol + Radziner Architects will handle the restoration, which unfortunately involves the replacement of a terrazzo floor (carpet tacks!). The museum hopes to open the annex in fall 2013.
