Rare Open Apartment in Hollywood's Garfield Court

New, 23 comments

Robert Winter and David Gebhard's Architectural Guidebook to Los Angeles describes Hollywood's Garfield Court Apartments, located a few blocks from AFI, as "a really grand Spanish court with beautiful trees. Even the fire escapes are beautifully designed and crafted." Apartments don't come available all that often in the 20-unit, twenties-era complex, but today Craigslist brings word of a one-bedroom, one-bath unit up for grabs. Per the listing, it features "French windows, hardwood floors, beam ceiling, dining room, stove/refrigerator, period tile in kitchen/bath, front and back entrances. Lots of period detail." There's also a laundry on the premises, and gas, water, and one parking spot are included in the rent, which is $1,600 per month.
