The Dominguez Hills Golf Course in Carson is set to be mowed down by a Porsche Experience Center, so what will happen to the giant golf man statue by the 405? No one quite knows yet: "The future of the 20-foot statue of a golfer will be discussed during the environmental review process, and the public can provide suggestions then." But: "Pilar Hoyos, a spokeswoman for the land owner, Watson Land Co., said she believes Porsche intends to keep the statue in place because of its history." The statue is only about 15 years old.
