The Eastsider LA has a photo of the newly-painted Echo Park Lake boathouse, currently being renovated as part of the $65 million cleanup of Echo Park Lake, which wraps up next year. The boathouse is getting retiled and repainted (and straightened), with the white making way for this orange/yellow/gold hybrid. It was impossible to figure out what the original paint color was because so much stucco was added to the boathouse over its 80 years, but Project Manager Ohaji K. Abdalla from the city's Bureau of Engineering told the Eastsider that the "color chosen is typical for Spanish Colonial buildings of this era."
