In an op-ed, the New York Times considers foreclosure's effects on LA's entertainment industry, where streaming, piracy, and runaway filming have made things tough all around. Hilary De Vries writes that "two of my three immediate neighbors have been foreclosed on" in "our canyon neighborhood" and that "several unions and charitable performing arts foundations report an increase in members applying for emergency housing assistance."
