1920s Mediterranean in Pasadena Designed By Wallace Neff

New, 17 comments

There's a plethora of pedigreed properties popping up on the market this week. In addition to houses from John Byers and Pollack & Kahn, we've got this Mediterranean designed by Pickfair architect Wallace Neff. Located near the Huntington Library on Holladay Road (oh great--now we have that damn National Lampoon's Vacation song in our heads), the 6,000 square foot residence was built in 1926, but, per the listing, has been "recently expanded & sensitively remodeled." Looks a tad too marbley for our tastes, but different strokes, we guess. The six bedroom, six bath house's features include French doors, hardwood floors, wrought-iron fixtures, crown moldings, four fireplaces, a saltwater pool and spa, plus a 500 square foot pool pavilion with barbecue, bathroom, and fireplace. Last sold in 1998 for $1.3 million, it's now asking $4.995 million.
