WEST HOLLYWOOD: There's now another place (besides IHOP) to get grub in the wee hours of the night in Boystown. On Monday, Kitchen 24 opens up on the Santa Monica strip with many of the same American classics that are served at the Hollywood Kitchen on Cahuenga.
CHINATOWN: On Figueroa, just over the 110, Mexicali Taco & Co. is opening up its first brick and mortar after operating a successful taco stand at First and Beaudry. Opens Tuesday.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Eater reports that the former Hamburger Hamlet space on Sunset near the Beverly Hills border will be split into two, with Italian and Chinese restaurants--both fine-dining concepts--opening in the historic spot.
LOS ANGELES: We can't all be Jonathan Gold, constantly traipsing out to the San Gabriel Valley for some hot and sour soup. Eater has compiled a map of the best Chinese cuisine that doesn't require hours of driving, including restaurants from Westwood to Northridge.
