See a Crane Lift an Escalator Into Place at Downtown Target

Wheeeee! Here's one of the cooler construction updates we've ever seen--it's Downtown's FIGat7th, aka the future home of the Downtown Target, getting its new grand entrance escalators. Turner Construction's 170 foot tall crane lifted the escalators into place this past weekend--they'll be a centerpiece of the overhauled complex, descending directly from the Figueroa Street sidewalk for pedestrian-friendly access. FIGat7th is still planning on a fall opening.
