We saw the first-ever Proto Home, a reconfigurable, iPad-controlled smart house in Baldwin Hills last year, but we're told that was just the "Toyota"--this second Proto Home in Beverly Grove is the "Lexus" model. The house was built in just four months with Proto Homes's hybrid construction--part prefab, part on-site construction. It has five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms but owners can mess around with that layout if they'd like; it also comes wiht Miele appliances, a loft-style master with garden, a fireplace, and a lap pool (plus an iPad and iPad-controlled systems). Asking price is $2.395 million.
