Writer, Design East of La Brea proprietor, and known walker-in-LA Alissa Walker gave up her car six years ago and she's been haunted ever since by Missing Persons's 1982 song "Walking in LA" (you know it: "Nobody walks in LA."). So she tracked down the band's drummer Terry Bozzio, who wrote the song (he says it was "tongue in cheek") and blows up various other myths about walking in LA. She also talks to one of the city's two brand new pedestrian coordinators, who are tasked with making the city friendlier for walkers. [Studio 360/HuffPo]
