Discovering the Wonders of Wilshire Center and the LA River

WILSHIRE CENTER: Get on your walking shoes because tomorrow night is the monthly Wilshire Center Art & Architecture Walk. The self-guiding tour runs from 6-10 p.m. and includes stops at restaurants, galleries, and historic buildings clustered around Wilshire and Western--you can even visit the LA offices of the American Institute of Architects, located in a tower on Wilshire. GRIFFITH PARK: Tickets are available now for HiddenLA's last guided exploration of the LA River this season (the conduit is getting more enjoyable by the day). Environmental writer Jenny Price leads the walking/carpool tour on Sunday, December 16, which starts in Griffith Park, ends in Long Beach, and includes a taco stop in Boyle Heights and a raspado break in Bell.
