LOS ANGELES: A tipster browsing YouTube for videos of Angelyne (as you do) stumbled across this interesting bit of news from several months ago: apparently some USC grads are making a documentary about the wayward billboard queen. According to the video, she was a little bit of a diva ("everything had to be right, from her hair to the lighting to the composition to how she had her hands to how she had her hips placed") on set and is living in a predictably-pink pad somewhere (she sold her Malibu condo in April 2011). Anyone know more? [YouTube]
SOCAL: Pacific Standard Time, the mega mid-century SoCal art survey that ran from October 2011 through April 2012 "made a dramatic economic impact on the region, according to a study released today by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation," says a press release. The study found that PST generated $280.5 million in economic output in the region, "supported 2,490 jobs with total labor income of $101.3 million and added $19.4 million in tax revenues to state and local governments." A total of about 1.8 million people participated in the series of events. And it was also just super fun and interesting. [Curbed Inbox]
