The mayor cut the ribbon today on the new Lincoln Heights headquarters for teen retailer Forever 21. Housed in a 1.8-million square foot facility that previously served as a Macy's showroom, the headquarters will contain the company's distribution, logistics, e-commerce, merchandising, and warehouse operations. The city worked overtime to get F21 to Lincoln Heights. According to a statement from the mayor, his office set up an "all hands on deck" meeting in June 2011 to streamline the project by cutting red tape and facilitating communications between city departments.
