Fairfax District Apartment With 1920s Details and Tale of Woe

New, 10 comments

Provided you're not averse to capitalizing on someone else's misery, here's a pretty good deal in the Fairfax District. According to the Craigslister's tale of woe, "The only reason I am wanting to get rid of this apartment is based solely on the fact that my girlfriend and I just broke up so she's moving out and I won't be able to afford it on my own." Assuming this story is in fact true, the poster has our sincere condolences, especially given that the 1920s Spanish-style apartment being vacated sounds quite nice. Per the ad, the 800 square foot one-bedroom features hardwood floors, coved ceilings, crown molding, and a full bath with lovely vintage tile and fixtures. Monthly rent for the pet-friendly unit is a very reasonable $1,300.
