Palms Garage Opening, Rao's Goes Hollywood, TLT in Westwood, Late Night Dining Guide

New, 4 comments

PALMS: It's been nearly two years coming but The Garage is finally going to liven things up on Motor Avenue in about a month. The neighborhood sports bar comes with an outdoor beer garden (the Westside's Red Lion?) and is from the people behind South, the Santa Monica restaurant/bar.

HOLLYWOOD: After opening a Vegas outpost at Caesar's, the legendary Harlem institution Rao's is expanding to LA with a spot on Seward. The southern Italian eatery caters to celebs in NYC and Vegas, so an LA restaurant seems like a perfect fit. Stay tuned for opening details.

WESTWOOD: TLT Food was set to open yesterday in Westwood (replacing The Stand). The restaurant is a brick and mortar version of The Lime Truck, winner of season two of Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race, and is serving items like sambal wings, carnitas fries, and edamame hummus.

LOS ANGELES: No, LA is not a late-night city (too much to do the next morning), but some evenings call for dining close to midnight. Where to go? Eater knows where: their guide includes The 101 Coffee Shop, Freddy Smalls, and Bossa Nova.
