The fifth (and successful-as-always) CicLAvia sprawled into all-new territory yesterday, closing roads to cars all the way south to Exposition Park and north and northeast into Chinatown and Boyle Heights. The LA Times reports that more than 100,000 people attended everyone's favorite linear(ish) block party this time out; the vibe as always was happy and bikey and friendly (we saw a biker accidentally hit a pedestrian, who was understandably miffed, but the two shook hands and settled things right away). Intrepid Curbed photographer Elizabeth Daniels captured the action on the new northern and southern spurs--enjoy and we'll see you in April for CicLAvia 6.
