Can we make this mandatory for every film that comes out, please? (Just spitballing: maybe as a condition of film tax credits?) The people behind Seven Psychopaths have released a little video about the locations used in the movie--they shot all over LA, from the beach to the tar pits to Echo Park, and in and around Joshua Tree (apparently you cannot blow up a car in a national park). The movie tells a classic LA story: it "follows a struggling screenwriter (Colin Farrell) who inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell) kidnap a gangster's (Woody Harrelson) beloved Shih Tzu." It was directed by In Bruges's Martin McDonagh.
