It's all action, action, action Downtown these days--today we head to the Arts District, where one of the Toy Factory and Biscuit Lofts developers is working on a conversion of the old California Walnut Growers Association building. The Downtown News reports that one of the guys from developer Linear City is planning to adapt the 1921 building into something called The Walnut (adorable). Plans filed with the city say it'll have 57 live/work condos "for artists and artisans," as well as one commercial unit. The CWGA building is eight stories; the old Loopnet listing calls it a "classic multi story concrete deco building" and says it has a "spectacular downtown skyline view" from the top floor.
