This Year's 5 Best LA Neighborhoods For Trick-Or-Treating

New, 52 comments

Zillow has released its fourth annual list of the cities and neighborhoods for trick-or-treating and lovely flat Los Angeles has moved up once again, to number seven, despite the algorithm's seeming preference for hilly places (San Francisco tops the list yet again). Zillow's Halloween index uses four equally weighted variables--its Home Value Index, population density, Walk Score, and local crime data: "Based on those variables, the Index represents cities that will provide the most candy, with the least walking and safety risks." But there will be hills! as you'll see in the top five Los Angeles neighborhoods for trick-or-treating:

5. Beverlywood
4. Studio City
3. Pacific Palisades
2. Brentwood
1. Cheviot Hills

Meanwhile, we went right to the people last year to find the best trick-or-treating neighborhoods in five general areas of the city. For your reference:

South Bay/Long Beach:?

San Gabriel Valley:?
