South Park's planned 23 story Marriott Courtyard and Marriott Residence Inn, a joint hotel tower with a total of 393 rooms, has a new look. Blogger Brigham Yen got his hands on updated renderings from the CRA website--peep that big sign on Francisco Street. The better news is that a 1,000 square foot pedestrian plaza will sit underneath the sign, making for a more pleasant walking experience from LA Live. The rest of the hotel's amenities are fairly standard: ground floor restaurant/lounge, coffee/wine bar, hotel shop, and a pool and fitness center on the third floor. Like many South Park projects, a Portland developer--Williams/Dame & Associates, which bought the site from LA Live developer AEG--is behind the $118 million Marriotts.
