South Pas v. the 710 Extension

New, 13 comments

Things have been a little quiet on the 710 extension front, but don't think the plan to close the South Pasadena gap has gone away. The Pasadena Star-News reports that Metro and Caltrans are in the midst of completing an environmental impact report on the project and, at a South Pasadena council meeting tonight, a city lawyer will discuss the city's potential response to that report. (They've already come out against a surface freeway option, just one of many options Metro is considering.). City Manager Sergio Gonzalez says South Pas wants public transit and bike amenities, not a freeway. [PSN]
