The Secret Street Art Gallery in The Hollywood Condos' Garage

New, 12 comments

Deep in the bowels of The Hollywood, that recently revived Kanner Architects-designed condo building, lies a treasure trove of pedigreed street art. Who knew? A rep for the project tells us that, when the building was finished in 2008, the developers handed the garage over to big-deal street artists including Mr. Brainwash, Retna, and ManOne, and each artist got his own space to use as he wished. The art's still there and the rep says it's "sort of a hidden gallery? Not many people know it exists." The Hollywood is very arty--it also has pieces on each floor that it changes out periodically.
