Main Street in Venice is being put on a road diet--it's losing one car lane in each direction and gaining mile-long bike lanes and a center turn lane. City Councilmember Bill Rosendahl's blog says that the old striping is already gone and the work should be finished up next weekend. According to the Daily Breeze, the changes "will run between Win[d]ward Circle and Marine Street at the border with Santa Monica, an area that includes a newly opened Google office and a popular dog park."
