We gotta hand it to whomever penned the copy for this new listing in Eagle Rock--it certainly piqued our interest. According to the wordsmith, the "2 story Spanish with medieval touches" was custom-built in 1930 for "a wealthy couple who spared no expense in building this little treasure," which has features including "a beam ceiling with hand-hewn planking," a "stunning leaded picture window of hand blown glass and inserts of colored glass," a "ship's library, small in size but big in character--replica of the library on original owner's yacht," and a "fancy wrought iron staircase with tiled stairs." Alas, the accompanying photos of the two bedroom, two bath house don't quite live up to its whimsical description (although we are rather intrigued by the tiny, Grimm's Fairy Tales-esque door shown in one). Asking price for the 1,767 square foot home, listed as a short sale, is $579,000.
