The city wasn't quick enough to allow a bunch of ads to go up on bus stop furniture, according to a new audit, and "missed out" on $23.1 million it could've earned. The Daily News reports: "Under the contract, CBS Decaux was to install street furniture that included public toilets, transit shelters, newsstands and public amenity pillars and kiosks containing 3,430 advertising panels. The company was in charge of selling the advertising and it was to provide a portion of its earnings back to the city. However, as of last year, the city had approved permits for about 69 percent of the panels." [LADN]
