1600 at Artesia Square Brings Tai Chi and Granite to Gardena

New, 5 comments

Location: Gardena
Size: 64 townhouses, 34 live/work units
Prices: Townhouses start in the $400s; live/works start in the mid-$500s
Architect: Withee Malcolm Architects
Developer: MBK Homes

MBK Homes will host a public grand opening and model home tour this Saturday (the Kogi truck will be there between 11 am and 2 pm, by the way) at the new 1600 at Artesia Square development in Gardena. Yep, Gardena. And even MBK Homes VP Rick Fletcher isn't shy in pointing out that the development is something a little different for the neighborhood: "From stainless appliances, to custom paint, granite countertops and indoor/outdoor living in every home, the residences at 1600 at Artesia Square provide standard offerings unlike any others in the area." 1600 also has a dog park, Tai Chi garden, two outdoor entertaining areas with fireplaces and barbecues, and solar panels with a 20 year pre-paid lease on every unit. The townhouses are two to three bedrooms in three stories and come with attached garages. And because you can have your garage and be green too (or so they say), the development is LEED for Homes Certified and Energy Star Certified. So far, nine units have sold (three live/work and six townhouses) and move-ins will start in February or March.
